After moving to Australia, she completed her Bachelor of Nursing in 2014 and completed further postgraduate training in immunisation from the Australian College of Nursing in 2015. She has been part of our team at Keilor Medical Clinic for nearly a year now.
Prasanka has flourished in General Practice nursing because she enjoys holistic patient care. She reflects that, in general practice each day is different and there is always the thrill of never knowing who or what will walk through the door. She enjoys working in a large clinic because it allows her to practice a broad range of skills such as performing wound care, emergency care, patient education, ECG’s, spirometry, assisting with minor surgery, vaccination – childhood and travel, maintain cold chain requirements, ordering of stock, health assessments, asthma and diabetes cycle of care.
Outside work, she enjoys reading, listening to music and enjoys being in natural surrounds. She works full time at our clinic.
